Course Tips

What kind of course is it?
It's a comprehensive curriculum put together by the well-established JAM Japan Animation and Manga College, which has produced over 100 professional Mangaka (Manga Artists). This course is designed for those at an intermediate level who want to further develop their digital illustration skills.
How do I take the course? Do I have to go to a college?
It's an online course, so you can take lessons anywhere at any time, at your own pace! (You can even use your smart device!)
I'm busy with work, so I want to take it slowly. Do I have to complete it in one month?
The standard study period is one month, but there is actually no time limit! (*) Please take the course at your own pace!
*After the standard study period, if you don't log in to your account for over 90 days, it will be invalidated. However, just by logging in once, you can extend this for another 90 days, so if you log in periodically, there is no time limit.
I don't use Photoshop, but a different illustration program. Can I still take this course?
This course doesn't describe how to use the illustration software or its useful functions, instead focusing on how to draw, the thought process, and different techniques. Don't worry, you can use your preferred illustration software for this course.
Does this course teach you how to use Photoshop?
Unfortunately, this course does not teach you how to use the illustration software. It is aimed at those who have enough experience with digital illustration to know how to use their chosen program.
What illustration software would you recommend?
It depends on what your needs are, but in general we would recommend "SAI," "Photoshop," and "CLIP STUDIO" for their fame and ease of use. You can also try certain software for free, so we recommend purchasing after trying them out! Also, if you want to create manga as well as illustrations, we recommend "CLIP STUDIO EX."
I want to watch lots of different professionals at work. Can I only take the one course?
We get asked this a lot, so we will be adding more courses to the line up one by one. We aim to create an easy-to-use system where you can take multiple courses at once. Please look forward to it!
